Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. This page explains the ones we use.

  1. 1

    Google Analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are most useful. It tells us things like how many people visited and roughly where they came from, never who you are.

These cookies are only set if you click Accept. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are saved, and the website works just the same.

Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with _ga. They last up to two years. You can read more in Google’s explanation of how it uses information from websites (opens in a new tab).

  2. 2

Music players, videos and the map

Some pages include content from other companies, which have their own privacy policies:

    • SoundCloud (music player, Recording page), which may set cookies when its player loads.
    • YouTube (videos, Recording and Songwriters pages), which only loads when you press play and may set cookies from then on.
    • OpenStreetMap (map, Contact page), which receives your IP address so it can display the map.
